Dear Mr. Davis: The portable percussor is truly remarkable! I personally thank you for designing and making such an effective mucus-clearing device that I can use at home. As a 28-year-old living with cystic fibrosis I’ve spent countless hours since my childhood doing chest physical therapy and consider myself a self-trained expert on the subject. In my lineup of defense against my daily respiratory congestion I have found a new big-league starter—the Electro Flo 5000 percussor. It delivers the exact punch as the 2500 model, which is what the therapists use at the hospital, and it glides just as smoothly. Even though it is portable, the 5000 model gives nothing away in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. In my daily routine, I have integrated the percussor 15 minutes twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, while breathing an aerosol mixture of hypertonic saline and albuterol. That, coupled with a regular 15 minute midday IPV treatment will equal 45 minutes of calculated daily CPT. Thank you for being inspired to create this most valuable machine. I thank God for men like you who have recognized their talents and gifts and developed them so that they might benefit others. I am one who will benefit from your engineering ingenuity! Bless you, Mr. Davis, and thank you for bringing the world the first portable percussor.

A NOTE FROM ANALISA’S DAD: Analisa is 15 and has COPD based on immune deficiency. She’s on 24 hour oxygen and was getting hand percussion three times a day.
Hi Jim, In a word, this device is fantastic. The one thing that we have noticed is that when using the percussor, Analisa's cough is much more productive. Even though she doesn't have CF, we would have to really pound on her to try and get a good productive cough that would clear her lungs. With the percussor, it is very easy for her to clear, which in turn means more comfort for her and less chance of infection. My guess is that it is a combination of the pounding that the device produces along with the constant vibration. In other words, the device is constantly creating some type of action that continuously vibrates, pounds, etc., thus always shaking anything in her lungs loose. Great! We love it!
